About Charles
Both his father, Charles Sr. and Uncle Guy Neubert, responded to the call of the school fire and went to assist. They identified Charles Jr. at the temporary morgue in Kedzie Avenue by the mole patterns he had on his back.

Charles Jr. was also called Chuck. His paternal grandmother, Luisa Antonelli, was alive at the time of the fire. She was married to her second husband Paul Servey/Serwatka, with whom she had two children in the 1940s (Paul and Louise Servey/Serwatka), who were Charles' 16 and 14 year-old aunt and uncle, respectively, at the time of the fire). Her first husband was Arthur Hess Neubert, with whom she had Charles' uncle (Guy) and father (Charles Senior), in the 1920s, before Arthur's death in 1937. His great grandmother, Irena Antonelli, Luisa's mother, was also living at the time in Chicago and died in 1963. Luisa passed away in December of 1992, not long after the death of her son, Charles Senior, in April.

Interred: St. Joseph (River Grove, IL)
