About me: | Currently live in Schaumburg, IL. I am a Technical Service Manager for a graphic inks company. My family had moved to the United States from Italy when this fire occurred. Fortunately, I was a little taller and was able to go to the window and get fresh air. My brother Orlando was in 3rd grade and also my sister Rita was in 3rd grade and they also survived the fire. I remember the ladders were not tall enough to reach the windows. It was only 10 minutes before class would have been dismissed. |
