About me: |
I was born in 1945 and raised in Old Orchard Beach Maine.
Many miles away from the OLA fire. I was 13 at the time of the fire and remember reading the article and seeing the photos in the news paper of the children that died in the fire . The memery stayed with me. I had always woundered what happened to the children that made it. I saw an Opera show few years ago that had a few of the students on her show.
When I was 8 years old there was a house fire on our street and five children in the same family died. The boy Johnny made his first communion with me. The rest of the children were younger. That event stayed with me for a long time. I think that is why I can remember the OLA fire story so vividly.
