About Mary
Mary came to America from Bitritto, a small town in Italy, with her mother Graziella. She had four brothers who were already living in Chicago (John, Tomas, Dominic, and Mike). The brothers were living in a small apartment and, in order to make room for their mom and Mary, they bought a two flat on Chicago ave. Her mother passed away some years ago, but her brothers are still living. Mary was the youngest.
Interred: Queen of Heaven Entombment (Hillside, IL)
Memories of Mary
I remember when Mary first came from Bari, Italy and she was in my classroom. I was assigned to work with her to help her learn the English language. Mary was a sweet and caring girl. She was older than us, I believe she was 15 when she died, and I remember her telling me that after she graduated 8th grade, she planned to go to Italy and get married.
