| Royal Airs Memorial at Queen of Heaven Cemetery |
|
When: Sunday, December 7, 2025 - 11:00 am CST (In 2 days 12 hours 6 minutes)
Where: Queen of Heaven Cemetery (Section 18) 1400 S. Wolf Road, Hillside, IL Again, this year, alumni of the Royal Airs Drum & Bugle Corps will hold our annual commemoration at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in remembrance of the three young OLA corps members (Frances Guzaldo, Valarie Thoma and Roger Ramlow) and all others who perished the tragic fire at Our lady of the Angels School on December 1, 1958. Our commemoration will be held at the OLA memorial Shrine and burial site (Section 18) for many of those students. We invite friends, relatives and others to join us for our annual remembrance. We will keep the pledge we all made back in 1958 to honor their memory, along with all other students and three nuns who died in that tragic event. We began this tradition 67 years ago and it will continue as long as there are Royal Airs members and friends left to do so. Note: Our commemoration should be done before 11:30 AM so those who wish to attend services at the Mission of Our Lady of the Angels Church will be able to do so |
