| About me: |
I happened upon this site by accident and was surprised and glad I did. I graduated from OLA in 1963. I was in the 4th grade in room 210 when the fire broke out. The hospital I was taken to was Walter Memorial in Humboldt Park for 3 months and 20 days. It has been some time that the class of 1963 had a reunion wonder and think of my classmates often and wonder what happened to many of them.
I presently live in Jamestown, North Dakota. I teach in the education department at Jamestown College. I often refer to OLA regarding the importance of fire drills and being prepared. I remember my days at OLA fondly and having given me a strong educational background. I found my experience with the fire to have made me a stronger adult. If anyone remembers me please feel free to contact me.
