| About me: | I lived in rural Palos Heights (a suburb of Chicago) and I was a "public" with only 15 kids in my first grade. There were zero Catholic schools in Palos at that time and I didn't know anyone who went to one. I vividly remember watching the aerial black and white images of the smokey school on Channel 9. OLA and Chicago seemed a whole world and lifetime away from where I lived, but I remember the sadness I felt that day. I remember..... |
